Boston has a projected 63-19 record with the third youngest team in the league, and they're doing all of this with a $30M player inactive the whole season, giving them a true salary lower than any other team in the NBA.  They have 5 rookies, 3 of which play solid minutes, and we have only 4 players over the average league age that plays 15+ min. Only 4 players on the current team played for us last season

I know, i know i just hate rewarding the best teams bc best teams are expected to do great things and have great rosters for it to make it happen

I like the underdogs and sure 48-34 isnt special but doing it with not a single star and alot of overpaid guys is impressive anyway you look at it. Hell, maybe they even go on a crazy finish like last year and get close to 55 wins, thatd be great

Id hope Pierce was better than a rookie tatum but tatum highest ceiling is Pierce to me

with tatum its all gonna be how his body fills out. he's already 6'9" at worst and I can see him hit 6'11" or 7'
 
if he gets stronger, he could def have a melo type of game. he already shows great offensive post technique, his shooting numbers are very good for a 19 year old, and he'll be able to expand on an already surprisingly good finishing ability when he gets stronger

but is miami that much less talented than the bucks or pistons? they're all around the same level imo. its just the wizards sucking rn thats pushing miami to the 4 seed.
