Russ was the only one that came to play yesterday

Keep enjoying this regular season success tho, we all know Dantoni and Harden will disappear once again when it truly matters in the playoffs like theyve done numerous of times

Too bad thats around the time youll stop posting in here, so yea i guess get your shit talking in while everything is still good

Rockets got two of the most successful regular season players of this generation and at the same time two of the biggest playoff chokers of this generation lmao not to mention their coach.

You must be a shitty coach to not understand simple shit like 3 stars coming together and starting a new team. If you expected this to be all smooth and them to come right out the gate and be great, thats just delusional and naive

Heatles struggled, 2014 cavs when Bron came back and Love got traded there started 19-20 then finished the year 34-9

But please keep going, bc in January and come playoff time your comments gonna be hilarious and you already know they’re in my #notepad

Giannis is apparently close with that assistant coach, so it probably isn't a big deal.

Cant defend D'Antoni, but Harden doesnt deserve a choking label. Since 2012-13, the Rockets have lost one series they were actually favored to win (albeit slightly). Harden's teams have been swept zero times. His playoff stats are almost exactly the same as his regular season stats. The only one and dones Harden-led teams have are against #1 seeds when his team is the 8th.

Harden Regular Season: 27.6 pts, 7.7 Ast, 44.2 FG%, 4.4 TO
Harden Post-Season: 27.3 pts, 7.1 Ast, .41.3 FG%, 4.7 TO

See above. Stats don't lie.

Thanks for the personal insults. I've always felt like the best way to disagree with someone is to call them names and then tell them why they are wrong. It just opens their minds in ways that civil discourse just never has.

"Heatles" and Cavs also happened to have one of the greatest players of our generation on their team. Last I checked, LeBron isn't on OKC's roster. Now, I don't doubt that OKC will figure things out enough to make the playoffs, but they are just another example of how important chemistry is to a team's success. Again, they have time to figure it out, and I bet they do. I just haven't seen OKC do much different from what they did last year. Adding stars doesn't fix that. What won Russ the MVP last year was the hollow argument of he had no supporting cast, no all-stars around him. Now he does. They need to add some bench depth or they aren't going anywhere. I don't see a 34-9 in their future. Honestly, do you?

The reason Rockets fans love to harp on OKC/Russ is bigger than just them. What's funny here is that Russ' season last year is almost identical to Harden's in 2014-15. Harden carried that team on his back to a record and seeding (#2) that they had no business being at. Steph had a great year too, and statistically almost identical to Harden's. Steph won it though because his team won the most games, and James just didn't have a Klay/Iguodala/Green to play with. So when the tables were turned, all of a sudden the Rockets success and wins didn't mean much. It's funny how that works, and how the media will float these things out there for the general public to just devour.

Sorry for the long post, to sum it up:

1) Harden is not a choker. (though the CP3/D'Antoni label seems fair)
2) Personal insults are not necessary
3) OKC sucks right now, but certainly should get better
4) I will be around through the season, and will gladly eat crow should I have to

OFFICIALLY: My prediction for this season is a Warriors/Rockets WCF, and I'd guess OKC finishes 5th in the West (give me a +/- 1). So let's re-visit this in May. I'll still be around.

Cheers,

Overall playoff stats dont really matter, not what i was referring to when i said Harden chokes. He chokes in the most important games and on the biggest stage. Has even disappeared and given up(last year game 6 vs the Spurs and against the Clippers in 2015 but his teammates came thru). The big reason that happens because refs swallow their whistles in big games, the game becomes way more physical and Harden cant sell his flopping around anymore. He cant get to the FT line and thats his bread and butter. He baits for fouls most of the time instead of playing basketball and thats whats annoying about his game. Now, back to big/elimination games.

2012 finals, he was a very important piece of that team and this is where him disappearing all started. Russ and KD showed up in the finals while Harden shit the bed when they needed his scoring so much off the bench since the games were extremely close and he just disappeared in the biggest games 3 and 4 at home.

Game 3, 34 mins 2-10 FG for 8 points in a 6 point loss at home. (KD 25 on 11-19, Russ 21 on 9-18. Low scoring game, only 85 by OKC, needed Harden big time)

Game 4, 38 minutes 2-10 FG for 6 points in a 6 point loss at home in the biggest game where the series could have been tied at 2-2. (KD 28 points on 9-19 FGs, Russ 43 points on 20-32 FGs)

Overall shooting 36% for 6 nba final games

2013 Rockets vs Thunder

Game 1, 6-19FGs -28 on the court

Game 4, 4-12FGs with NBA record 10 turnovers (teammates came thru for him especially Parsons and rockets won the first game of the series)

Game 6 to make the series 3-3, brighest lights, Harden with a 7-24 game from the field and Rockets going home

2015 2nd round Rockets v Clippers we all remember this. Had a solid series, but here comes game 6, down 3-2 elimination game and Harden 5-20FGs -20 on court. Got benched then Dwight Howard, Josh Smith and company came back from down 19 points to win it in that crazy 4th quarter. Played 28 minutes that game, benched the entire 4th quarter.

2015 Conference Finals Rockets vs Golden State

Game 2 down by 1, has a mental breakdown and made a huge turnover in final seconds. Could have won the game.

Game 3, 3-16FGs -31on the court(absolutely gross, just straight not giving a fuck anymore because its a tough series and he folds in the moments he thinks he cant do it)

Game 5 2-11FGs and broke his own NBA record with 12 turnovers. DISAPPEARED, NOT GAVE A FUCK, GAVE UP.

And the most famous one, most recent one

2017 Rockets v Spurs
Game 5 , 9 turnovers Spurs with no Parker, didn't score for a 6 minute stretch in the 4th. Simply should have took over in the pivotal game of the series, instead turns the ball over twice in the last minute and a half in a nail bitter.

And the 2nd biggest disappearance act of all time by a superstar at home, to take the series to game 7, WITH NO KAWHI LEONARD, NO TONY PARKER, and gets torched by 39 points and simply doesnt give a fuck all game.

Game 6 2-11 FGs 6 turnovers and fouled out.

And about OKC, i dont want to make any conclusions, i dont want to talk about what might happen, what might not, if their chemistry will work out or not, i dont know and im just going to wait and see. Just pointed out that laughing at them losing a bad game to the Mavs this early in the season is a lil off. If they’re losing games like this around the all star game, go all in and laugh all you want, bc then itll be actually laughable and ill be laughing with you, trust me. But as of right now, lets stay patient. We’ve seen it before teams not working out right away and then start clicking around christmas. We’ll see

Miami scored 7 points in a quarter against the Bulls. Seven. The Bulls.
