He was supposed to be a 4-5
But he looks like a solid 2-3

Potential ROY

He's got a sweet contract, too.

Danny Salazar hasn't allowed more than 4 hits in a start this year, and has only allowed 4 in one start.

Yea Danny is 2nd in the league in H/9 behind only Arrieta.

Has Taijuan Walker finally put it all together? 1.97 ERA, 2.95 FIP, leading the league in BB/9, highest K/BB ratio. Picking up where he left off at the end of last year.

I went to the Orioles game today. I forgot to take a picture with the middle finger. I'm guessing that's why they lost

Price has given up five or more runs in four of his seven starts. He did that twice in 32 starts last year. Solid investment.

His velocity on his 4 seamer is down almost 2mph and heres the other part:

Bases Empty: .247/.291/.333 (69 OPS+)
Men on Base: .291/.362/.532 (138 OPS+)

Its too early to panic, but a 7 year deal and starting off like this makes anyone nervous.

The velocity could indicate there's an injury he's fighting through and that's concerning. But even worse is his location has been awful, even his 4 seamer, and pinpoint location has always been his strength. Like you said pitching from the stretch has made it even worse.

He has started out slow in the past and has always figured it out but seven starts is about a fifth of the season. And I agree, it is too early to panic but that sample size just keeps getting larger.

But really

Melky got 2 good contracts. 16M for 2 from toronto and what 3/40 somehing from Chicago

Nelson obviously got a nice one from seattle

Dee could have his contract voided and hed actually get more than 50M on the open market

And bartolo not only got 2 contracts, but has also become a folk hero. No one cares about his suspension lol

Just saying the incentive is still there. No onder they keep taking. Cause in like a year or two nobody will care

Not to turn this into a huge debate, but in Papi's case, there are too many questions. We don't know what he tested for and whether that triggered a false positive. That list wasn't even supposed to be revealed to begin with.

In regards to Price, he's just getting unlucky for the most part. Very high BABIP that'll come down, his FIP is excellent and is striking out slightly over 12 batters per 9 (thats Kershaw/Sale territory).
