A-Rod is going to "try" 1B again guys. Everything will be fine.
Wait a moment. Most of Tex starters are hurt and this was what, Yu's first start back from the DL? Not exactly apples comparison. And to be fair, the Cubs thru their two best starters over the last 45 days against themJZsportswhiz said:Great to win a series against the best team in the AL after break. Rangers had their #1-3 starters, Cubs had 3-5. Good to see following the way they've struggled the past month
Good thing the Cubs have no injuries I guess...brett05 said:Wait a moment. Most of Tex starters are hurt and this was what, Yu's first start back from the DL? Not exactly apples comparison. And to be fair, the Cubs thru their two best starters over the last 45 days against them
Lester is dealing against the Metsbrett05 said:Wait a moment. Most of Tex starters are hurt and this was what, Yu's first start back from the DL? Not exactly apples comparison. And to be fair, the Cubs thru their two best starters over the last 45 days against them
Similar peripherals this year compared to his past 2 seasons. He's pretty solid. Plus he's not a bad defender at all. Maybe not a star, but he's a really good player.GMF1991 said:Wasn't a fluke? Aside from HRs his numbers have gotten worse each year
Lester did well, of course it has nothing to do with the topic at hand which is the pitching performances prior to the Mets series, but perhaps time is not your thing.JZsportswhiz said:Lester is dealing against the Mets
The Cubs have been one of the healthiest teams in baseball. Sorry you did not know that.JZsportswhiz said:Good thing the Cubs have no injuries I guess...
Last 45 days would include the month of June, no?
Who was the pitcher of the month in June? I would assume if he was the best pitcher that month, he was one of the 2 best starters on his own team during that month
I agree he's a solid player - I wish the Mets had given him a shot years ago - but Mexico said he was a star and I agree with you he's not.snipezo said:Similar peripherals this year compared to his past 2 seasons. You said last 45 days. How does 2 bad starts negate the other 35 days of excellence?brett05 said:Lester did well, of course it has nothing to do with the topic at hand which is the pitching performances prior to the Mets series, but perhaps time is not your thing.
Am I supposed to hold this against them or what? They lost their best power bat in Schwarber, and currently down 2 starting OF in Fowler and Soler. A large part of sports is overcoming obstacles along the way, hardly qualifies as an excusebrett05 said:The Cubs have been one of the healthiest teams in baseball. Sorry you did not know that.
Yes it would also include his atrocious July. Way to ignore that. Hendricks has been a SUPERIOR pitcher over the stretch this debate covers.
