It's pretty fucking crazy how many triple doubles we're seeing this year.  Not only from Westbrook, but in general. 
 
Harden has 19 himself.  Before this season, Jason Kidd and Draymond are the only other players that hit double digits in trip dubs since 2000.

The base ten system is arbitrary as fuck, and I agree that the triple double fascination is a bit over the top, but the triple doubles that Westbrook and Harden are putting up are absurd.  The Rondo 10/13/11 triple doubles were weak, but when you're going 40/16/13, that's pretty fucking good.

nobody is denying westbrook is putting up great numbers. but the ONLY reason for westbrook as MVP is because he gets 2 more rebounds a game than Harden. They're point guards -- 8 rebounds a game for a PG is really freaking good too. Harden shoots on better efficiency, has more assists, and has taken his team to a better record. The argument that Russ deserves MVP because he averages more rebounds is just dumb as shit
