Just the perfect match with his work ethic and having Pop..
I wonder if he was as hard in Kawhi as he was Tony..
Makes you think how good certain guys could have been under him.. Boogie? Ridiculous.
i think he was
I remember those stories

Its like pop sees potential in certain guys and tries to help these guys realize it

And it works

The Rockets are like the first era LeBron-Cavs, except with a worse LeBron.

Who is their second best player? Clint Capela?

Fans got what they wanted just like last year with Kobe, this really is not difficult to comprehend
Fuck what the fans think bc obviously if u got fans voting for guys like zaza and shit its not accurate whatsover. Kobe woulda gotten voted in by players and media either way his last year out of respect, its not just what the fans wanted, the entire world wanted to see kobes last all star game, use ur brain. Russ got voted first by players and media also. Fans just pick a more likeable guy and in this case it was the golden boy on the best assembled team ever so whatever, it is what it is, end of convo, idec anymore

You could make a case that steve kerr should be thanking mark jackson for quite a lot

He should be thankful that the Warriors had Mark Jackson coaching all that young talent, and not an actual good coach who would have gotten more out of them and didn't constantly clash with the front office and likely held onto a job.

All those points are true , but u cant discredit the system Mark ran in golden state. Steve took it, tweaked it a bit and made it great but Mark was the starting point and should deserve some credit. Dray klay and Curry also werent fully developed yet either, and I disagree that it was Marks fault, they just entered their prime as Steve arrived so it seemed like it had something to do with him but Steve just got there at the perfect time. His entire life has been about being at the right spot at the right time and this is one of those times

Stumbled upon some interesting numbers

Out of 1772 player seasons recorded, IT's 16-17 ranks as the 8th worse defensive season since 13-14, with a -4.42 DRPM.

The list:

13-14 Jimmer Fredette -5.64
13-14 Byron Mullens -5.27
13-14 Dennis Schroder -5.02
13-14 Gary Neal -4.92
14-15 J.J. Barea - -4.90
13-14 Tim Hardaway Jr. -4.89
13-14 Eric Gordon -4.75
15-16 Derrick Williams - -4.59
16-17 Isaiah Thomas -4.42

IT's offensive RPM is great, and ranks 8th this season with 5.45

Cant add him in the MVP talks. Gotta play defense
