We had the discussion on how Gentry is an idiot for putting our 2nd best player on the bench, I said there were reasons they chose to do that. That didn't get a response, of course, but it's reaping the benefits. 15 and 6 in less than 25 minutes off the bench, was going for 11 and 5 as a starter.

But regardless, 10 days ago you claimed it was an obvious move to start the two of them together, and now you're praising the staff for bringing Holiday off the bench. Consistency.

If you truly knew the scenario and the circumstances, you would see the consistency is there.

The Evans/Holiday backcourt has by far always been the best backcourt duo in 3 seasons, specifically the Evans/Holiday/Davis lineup. They moved him onto the bench though because they were essentially forced into staggering their minutes. With moving Jrue to the bench, it allows them to basically kill two-birds with one stone. They don't have to stagger their minutes as much anymore, and it helps Jrue because of reasons you nor bosox seem to be able to grasp, which goes back to the post that got all this discussion started. Once that reason (first reason they moved him to the bench) is cleared up, I'm sure you will see them go back to that starting backcourt.

You can point your nose up in the air all you want, but the bottom line is you change your opinion to form whatever the coaching staff of a 6-16 team goes with. Sound logic

I'll just go ahead and say it since you clearly do not know. There were two reasons to bring Jrue off the bench, first being they felt he was not getting into a rhythm when he would play 4-6 minutes then have to go sit down because of his minutes restriction. They felt he and the team were best served with bringing him off the bench because he was playing his minutes in longer spurts like 8-9 minute stretches. Jrue on coming off the bench:

But Holiday, who is still on a minutes restriction, said coming off the bench helped his play because he was able to get into a rhythm easier. "My minutes weren't as choppy," Holiday said. "I got to play them in longer spurts. It felt good to be out there and playing with the team that I was playing with last year during the playoffs. It was fun."
Second reason is because Jrue is not playing back-to-back's due to the restriction he is on. So as a starter, every few games you're having to replace him in the starting lineup. Alvin Gentry wanted more consistency in the starting lineup, along with wanting to see him in extended stretches. This is something I've advocated for on numerous occasions.

Then there is the Tyreke aspect of it. I obviously advocated for Jrue and Tyreke playing meaningful minutes together, and with Jrue being on that minute restriction that's tough to do. Bringing Jrue off the bench not only allows you to do that, and it also gives you better guard play off the bench.

So like I said, two birds with one stone. Two things I've advocated for (more extended minutes, Jrue/Tyreke lineup) are accomplished with bringing Jrue off the bench. Sound logic.
