From shockingly having the top team out east a few years ago, to injuries, to now not even trying(along with injuries)

They had a pretty decent window too
New Orleans Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry spoke for just 44 seconds after Wednesday night’s 100-95 loss to the Houston Rockets, enough time to say that his struggling team’s longshot playoff hopes are done.
”We come out here after every game and we talk about that we’re still in the playoff race, ‘No we’re not, Ok,”’ Gentry told reporters after the game.

Lavine has developed into a pretty good shooter and already into a significantly better offensive player than anyone could have imagined by this point. It is not a stretch to say he could be a bigger star than Wiggins.nolafan33 said:When you look at that team, the other two guys that come to mind (Lavine and Rubio) aren't great shooters. Regardless though, Ben Simmons needs the ball in his hands to be effective, and even then in a half court offense he's still "meh." Are you taking the ball out of Wiggins hands to put it into Bens hands? What about Rubio? But here is another regardless, you now have three VERY underwhelming three point shooters in Rubio, Wiggins, and Simmons. Which is a spacing nightmare, and like I've said in the past, Bens best shot at being good offensively in the NBA is in an offense that spreads the floor beautifully.
