This is why I always thought Doc was an overrated coach


Why would you call for a CP3 isolation when you KNOW Kawhi will be guarding him?

A screen and release to Redick/Jamal or a P&R with Griffin would have been a much better idea. An iso was just such a bad call imo

He's a great coach, don't get me wrong. But as I'm watching Brad Stevens' brilliant sideline plays now, it's clear that some of the stuff Doc put out there was just not that good

Almost always just a straight up Pierce iso.

So we're just going to assume that all shots are equal, all defenses are equal, etc. Teams key in on him. Last year two great individual defenders locked him down.

But yet this isn't a problem for other superstars.

I guess Harden is the only guy playing against great defenders?
