I don't really fault Deandre if he does switch his decision. 
I just don't get why the NBA doesn't just wait until July 9th for free agency to start completely. The whole "verbal commitment" process is just dumb IMO.

To be completely honest, you should be locked in to a contract if you make a verbal commitment. That, or verbal commitments should not be allowed in the first place.
 
I mean, I get it if you have a family death or something or some sort of absolute emergency that disallows you to fulfill something you've agreed to, but there is no greater bitch move than verbally committing to something (as a grown man, that is) and then backing out of it.

I think this is what he was ultimately looking for to be completely wined and dined by the Clippers which he didnt feel like he was in comparison to the Mavs.

I would love to see Cubans reaction, lol.
