Local guys are saying the Cavs are expecting to have a "historic luxury tax payment", meaning a payroll well over $100 million.

Unless we get a pick out of it, I doubt it.Frontpage Stardom said:David Lee is going to find suitors for his services. Someone like the Celtics perhaps?
yea and they arent in the market to deal picks. another reason why it's gonna be hard to deal him, they have nothing to sweeten a dealbosoxlover12 said:Unless we get a pick out of it, I doubt it.

I know that. But $12M = $12M. Those players salaries will equal $12M, which is why I didn't include itelcheato said:I said well over, as in they're planning on turning Haywood's non guaranteed $12 million into more players

I can understand them not wanting to move a 1st to the Celtics for us to take on Lee's contract (which if when we don't get Aldridge in FA, we'll have cap space for an offensive big, so this would make sense from a Danny Ainge perspective). But if they are fine with moving a pick, he's basically wearing green. I can't imagine any team other than Boston doing this, since his expiring contract means nothing with the cap jump.
