Pretty sure Hezonja is the best wing in the draft.
I don't see him having enough defense to be a good SF imo

While he has the height to be a SF, I see him for now as a SG-only, unless the team runs a small lineup, like Orlando.

I still prefer Winslow, but Hezonja is ahead of Porzingis on my board

I worry about him laterally a bit. I think his teammates could loathe him some at first. But it's so many tools there with him. Great shooter..leaper and unbelievably confident. If he had got more minutes this year others would be more convinced. I think he may be a top 3 prospect for me in this draft and maybe 2 depending on how I feel.

I like Hezonja ahead of Winslow. If Hezonja goes to a good situation and the staff can reign him in, improve his decision making, and improve his defense the way you would expect a young guy to improve then he is one of the more impressive prospects in this class. Extremely talented offensively, can shoot off the dribble, off screens, spotting up. Can run the PnR, good passer with good vision, instincts are a little funky.

I worry about Winslow. Think he could really struggle offensively against wings, I mean if his jumper doesn't stay on par with what it was at Duke he may really struggle offensively. I don't see someone who can take NBA wings off the dribble, he can't run the PnR, doesn't have the shooting abilities Hezonja does. The more I watch of him the more weary of him I get.

Winslow never really was a shooter. He's pretty solid at attacking the hoop, and shows good defensive promise.

If Mario can play defense he'll be better. I just don't think he will be able to hold his own on defense. Not strong enough for 3s, not quick enough for 2s

im guessing our scouts are getting worried about who'll be available at our pick because we're open to trading it

I think the scenario that Nola posted is very possible, where the top guys for Detroit are all gone

I'd much rather trade 8 than draft Dekker

And fwiw it makes a lot of sense for Detroit to trade out if Winslow is gone

Boston is a good trade down spot for the Pistons, where they get 16+28, and either some 2nds or maybe the Cavs 1st in 2016

Celtics get Miles Turner, Pistons get a wing like RJ Hunter

8 for 16 + 28 is horrible value for the Pistons

I think if you are going to worry about something with Mario it needs to be his level of focus defensively, not his quickness or strength. He's got excellent lateral quickness and he has a good frame to get bigger.

And for Winslow, he did damage against college fours putting the ball on the floor, but struggled against threes.

please read before you make anymore stupid statements

It's 16+28+2016 CLE or 16+28+33+45

Thats the deals that have been said the Hornets might look for (from CLT sources, not BOS) in a trade down. And they are at #9 overall, which offers no difference in value that #8

Adding on a super late first for 2016 makes the deal even worse, since the Pistons then have to commit 2 years of guaranteed salary to a scrub. 2nd round picks are basically worthless. It's not happening either way

Saying he struggled against 3's is an extremely false narrative. He started out the season really well and his stats dipped after he hurt his ribs and there might have been an ankle injury mixed in there too can't remember. He definitely played better at the 4 but he didn't struggle vs. 3's at all

Commit two years salary to a scrub if your team doesn't know how to draft, sure.

But there's endless examples of late firsts and second round picks becoming all-stars

seconds are worth a lot more now too. find a guy who is ready now, give him a short deal and hope he grows a bit more.

I'd say Boston's #33 is more valuable than their #28, because 1st rounders are guaranteed contracts, and we want cap space. Would be extremely shocked to see us with our 2nd pick at #28.
