The Mets are 8-3. 1st place. 

This is a wonderful feeling, and I'm going to enjoy every second I've got until they inevitably plunge in to 3rd place for the rest of the season.

After many years I've gotten used to disappointment. But I'm sure in a month from now if we're still in 1st place I'll be acting like that crazy fan from Major League. 
 
Regardless, our lineup just isn't good enough to sustain this kind of performance.

Whoa, Cano and Altuve have something to say about that. Howie is a nice player but hes never stole more than 20 bases, hit 20+ homers, or 80 rbis. Hes having a very good start to his year.

And coming off a 4.5 war season, which would have lead the NL last year

7 game winning streak! 9-3 now, best start since 2006 when we made the playoffs. Jacob Degrom hasnt given up a run in 18 1/3 innings which goes to show you this wasnt a rookie pitch fluke season last year.
