Lions are currently first in total defense, including 3rd best in passing defense.

I see you Teryl Austin.

Seems like those stats don't tell everything, just based off yards given up.. Bengals have played lights out defense for the most part and are ranked 17th in total defense because of garbage yards they've given up..

Well our defense has been pretty impressive though. I'm not gonna say they are the best in the league though obviously haha. Just a lot better than what I anticipated.

Any time you can hold the Packers to 7 points, you are doing pretty good..

With an extremely depleted secondary too. I was expecting to be absolutely carved up by Rodgers.

D-Line is finally doing what is expected of them.

A good D-line that gets after the QB will definitely help out the secondary.. I can't name half of their secondary right now lol

Dustin what you think about Orson Charles?

Well, he didn't do much in Cincinnati. Not enough for them to keep him despite all of the injuries at TE. So obviously the Bengals didn't like what he brought to the game. He really didn't show me much.

Basically, I wouldn't get your hopes up for anything.. Looks like he was just signed to the practice squad.

I'm actually kinda disappointed at myself

Rewind to the Pats Giants Super Bowl V2, with the Welker/Brady drop

I always thought it was Brady's fault really, for overthrowing him. But after looking into it, it's really Welker's fault.

Here's the play in question right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT6XziIQ5RI

Giants are running a Cover 3, with Phillips (#21) playing centerfield. Welker was expecting the throw to the inside part of the field in this type of situation. But Phillips cheated in, which Welker couldn't really see from his vantage, Brady's window significantly narrowed. Could Brady have thrown it inwards? Yes, but it would have most likely gotten Wes drilled by Phillips, or if Brady led it too in, its an INT. And on 2nd down, up with 4 minutes to go, there is no need to force the ball.

So Brady puts the ball in the exact place needed; right in between Corey Webster (#23) and Phillips. That place, requires the back shoulder catch by Welker. But of course, as you can tell by the film, Welker doesn't see Phillips move in, and therefore isn't expecting any throw that isnt to the inside. By the time he realizes its back shoulder, he ran too far in, and is no longer in position to make the grab, hence the incompletion. If he saw it earlier, he can look back shoulder, make the grab, and we probably win the Super Bowl.

Those wounds never heal, do they?

Luckily, as a Redskins fan, I'll never have to worry about watching my team lose a super bowl... Or play in one.

I read that as sarcasm, but due to your Cousins boner, I can't really tell.

So the Browns plan to re-install Ben Tate as their #1 back despite the play of Crowell and West. Fucking silly.

Put the best guys out there. Ben Tate is made of glass and overrated.
