So lets say they didnt do the trade.

#6 overall, they dont go QB. They traded up for Griffin because they didnt like Tannehill clearly. So #6, they go BAP, which at the time was Mark Barron.

#39, 2nd round, they don't have a QB yet, so might as well take one now. The next QB taken in the 2nd? Brock Osweiler.

For the 2013 Draft, they picked at 22. Without RG3, not a chance in the world they finish that good. Probably inside the Top 12, but for now, lets just give them 22.

So at 22, what do the Skins need? Probably a corner most, so they go who actually went 22, Trufant.

And finally, the #2 overall pick. Robinson? Bortles? Who knows.

Obviously this isn't a great way to say how to value a trade, but its the best I've got. I think the Skins absolutely made the right move
If they didn't take Griffin they would have taken Cousins in the 2nd or 3rd. They had said he was the #3 QB on their board (after Luck and Griffin). So they could have taken Cousins where you had them taking Osweiler, or another skill position guy, and waiting until the 3rd if they wanted for Cousins.

Regardless this is all pointless after the fact because no one know what would have happened lol

If anyone goes back and looks at RG3s rookie season and comes back saying he didn't look like a franchise QB or did not have the potential to be one, then they're lying.
He had a great year. But we all knew what they were doing offensively was a gimmick. He has not improved as a passer since then, and due to the gimmick being figured out, he now has been playing poorly. It was a short term success offense, that was going to be sustained, and he hasn't adapted.

I actually lol'd at how straight up about it Rotoworld is:

Kirk Cousins completed 22-of-33 passes for 250 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's Week 2 blowout of the Jaguars.
Robert Griffin suffered a potentially serious ankle injury on the second series of the game, bringing Cousins on in relief. The third-year man immediately shredded, completing his first 14 passes while showing total command of the Jay Gruden scheme from the pocket. He did it without DeSean Jackson (shoulder) and Jordan Reed (hamstring), but with Niles Paul (8-99-1). It's a lot like what we saw in the preseason when Cousins thoroughly outplayed RG3. Cousins will be a fine QB2 play against the Eagles in Week 3 if Griffin remains sidelined.

rex ryan was directly behind him. He should have known who was calling it.

Im not saying it was the wrong call, because in the moment you hear a voice yell TO, you gotta call it dead. But it's still ridiculous because he should have been aware that the HC was standing directly behind him, not to his left.

And apparently this means anyone on that sideline can yell Timeout with the playclock about to expire, not just the HC.

The referees have better, more important things to be paying attention to than where the head coach is standing behind them.

EDIT
And in the referees mind wouldn't it be possible that after he saw where Ryan was, he walked to the left a bit? Like really, this is a stupid debate lol.

But then apparently any coach on the sideline can call a timeout when the clock is about to expire? it's chaos!

Such a prestigious school. They have a great track record of being just as bad as Tulane

Which is also just as bad as the Bears. Which is probably why Forte is their back
