Just a heads up to everyone though, Blaine Gabbert went 13 for 16, 165 yards and a TD in preseason game 2 last year for the Jags.

What Bortles is doing should be taken with a grain of salt at this point.

Ugh I hate when the Titans go light blue jerseys on the dark blue pants. Looks so much more modern with the light blue or white pants.

disgusting

Crazy.  Here's to hoping E.J. Manuel can develop and become good.  The Bills team being competitive in that division would be good for football, I think.

AGREED. When I was a little kid that's why I started to like them in the first place lol. That, and Eddie George.

Mettenberger to Hunter for a 64 yard TD! That's the future right there.

He fumbled again though :( He's gotta stop that.

See, Mett is 11/12, 169 yards and a TD.

Like Bortles, happy to see him doing very well. BUT it's just preseason.

Hypothetically though, in 5 years, could Luck, Bortles, Mettenberger make up the best QB trio in a division?

Damn Mett threw a pick. :(

He's looked so good, but then has a a few big mistakes. I'm confident he can overcome that.

If I were an NFL coach in the preseason, I think I would go for it on 4th down every single time.  I think all of the decisions on your punter, kicker, and coverage units can be made pretty easily in practice.  I'd like to see how the offensive unit players handle do or die 4th downs, see more benefit in that.

I'd go for it on 4th in the regular season all the time. I'd almost always go for 2 as well

The good thing about preseason games:

Lions used a draft pick on a kicker. Nate Freese.  He missed an extra point early in the game.  They sent him back out for a 56 yarder going into the half.  He killed it.  Still seemed pissed off about the missed PAT.  Kinks that are good to work out before the start of the season.

So he says a group of quarterbacks that includes a guy who looks like he might be a legend and two other guys who haven't proven anything.

Then you respond with a group of quarterbacks that includes one guy who started to look pretty solid last season and two other guys who haven't proven anything.

Yep, you're right.  Keep fighting the good fight.

And by the way, will Rodgers, Cutler and Stafford still be alive in five years?

They should all still be at or near the top of their game in 5 years, aside from Cutler, perhaps. Throw Bridgewater into that mix as well.

I didn't realize ARod was already 30. I suppose he could still be elite at 35.
