Can it not be argued that Miami isn't the best team in the league as much as they have the best star player?

When the Heat lose, people bash them for being terrible outside of LBJ (Bosh a superstar, negro please).
When they win, it's obviously because they have three superstars.

It's really fucking convinient.

If you're not including stars as a part of teams and making them separate entities entirely, I guess.

I mean, I honestly think that basketball is the least of team sports. You exchange LBJ with any superstar on these West rosters and whichever team he's on will likely win the title.

I think that's truly indicative of the individual impact in basketball. It really is too bad. It takes away from the likability of basketball, imo.

Well it's just easier for players to make an impact on a basketball team because the roster is so small.

Little known fact, Basketball is actually the most "team" oriented team sport.

If it's not, then people really need to stop saying certain players aren't winners because they don't play within their team and offense. It's contradictory.

A bunch of douchers sittin in a boat aint a sport damn it.

Kidding, but I was referring to sports that have widespread popularity and are broadcasted consistently that Bware might possibly watch. (basketball, football, baseball, hockey)

Great teams by themselves don't win NBA championships, elite players on great teams do. That's what makes the 04 Pistons such an outlier, great team but they didn't have a elite player.

Having "elite" players is part of being a great team, in any sport. You generally want the best possible players on your team, that doesn't make you any less of a team.

I don't see what the big deal is. When you're on the court you make up 20% of your team.

Of course certain individuals are gonna have a huge impact on their teams.

Also, you can win if you don't have multiple elite players or superstars, depending on how you define those terms. You just need more quality players littered throughout your roster, but that doesn't make a team more of a "team". That is generally tougher to accomplish as well.

There is no singularly exclusive, correct way to form a good team.

Well obviously. But I'm assuming that when bware says teams he's talking about stuff that transcends what happens on the court (intangibles, chemistry, etc.). All teams that win championships have those things but they also have some of the generation's best players. You can win a lot of games without a generational talent but most of the time that doesn't translate to championships.

Aside from the 04 Pistons, every championship team from 1980 until now has featured Magic, Bird, Moses, Thomas, Jordan, Olajuwon, Duncan, Shaq, Kobe, Wade, Garnett, Dirk, or LeBron. That's 33 titles between 13 of the best players the league's seen.

Generally the top level players have the overwhelming amount of talent, to go with the overwhelming intangibles, and are easy to play with in a game setting. That's why they're top level.

Whatever he means, he's just trying to fit his own created narrative and continue on his witch hunt of star players.

Hibbert traveled like three different times before George hit that three.
