Are we really, really hating on Mark Jackson? This franchise was still stuck in its "we don't play defense and try to outscore everybody" phase when he got hired and he fixed it and turned them into a good, solid defensive team almost immediately.

To say that Mark Jackson isn't a good coach is flat out disrespectful to a man who turned around a horrible mediocre franchise.

I'm surprised you didn't post something about how at least you'll get to see Houston/Portland game 7

Umm, what? They were terrible defensively his first year, slightly better the following year although nothing major, and this year after acquiring Andre Iguodola, arguably the best defensive wing in the league, they put up very good defensive numbers. Andrew Bogut also played in significantly more games this year.

Mark Jackson didn't turn around anything.

I think the Mavericks will take the win tonight.

I also think Raptors and Blazers will end their respective series.

To go from not even caring to at least trying to play defense, let alone a style of basketball that's actually capable of winning, is a huge step. Jackson had a lot to do with that, and he has a lot to do with this team even being in the Clippers series. LAC is significantly better, especially with Bogut gone.

What a blatant attempt by the NBA at making sure its darling Thunder win this series. Pathetic.

Paul George should have been suspended as well. Pretty blatant violation of the rule.

If LeBron did that the world would want his head on a spike..

Well, Paul George shouldn't have been suspended because that's a ridiculous rule. I hope this is a sign that Silver may eradicate some ridiculous rules.

Yeah, ZBo straight up punched him. I saw a better replay now. The NBA.com one is in slow mo and looks not all that bad.

I still don't like the suspension in the "this ruins the series" sense. The NBA weakens its product too much. Suspend Zack for this one, this year, but I really want Silver to look at some of these ridiculously harsh suspension rules. Can we all agree to that?

He took one step onto the floor. Maybe if the coaches hadn't held him back he would've gone out but the "one step and you're suspended" rule is stupid and I'm hoping Silver enforces it differently than Stern did.

Amare getting suspended for that game was awful.
