If he doesn't care about winning a title (which would be the case if he signed in boston or detroit), I bet he'd rather be the top scoring option rather than the 3rd

Ask Marcus Smart if he wants to start at SG.  Ask Brad Stevens if he wants Smart starting at SG.  Ask Avery Bradley if he wants to be coming off of the bench.  Ask Smart if he wants to be coming off of the bench.  I'll be totally shocked if Rondo is a Celtics a month from now.

We aren't going to start the season with Smart and Pressey as our only PGs. If we dump Rondo, we are picking up a starting PG in return, or a starting SG and will play Bradley at PG.
