Back in 2010, when James signed in Miami, and we saw in season how bad the Cavs were, there were tons of jokes like "Lebron is just waiting for the Cavs to get more talent via the draft, and then he'll come back when his contract ends"
 
3 #1s and 5 Top 5 picks later, and Lebron might head back to Cleveland now. What if this was the plan the whole time? Just to make Cleveland better

I meant there is still a chance they'd lose a top pick soon. The protections could ware off soon to be unprotected. I imagine they'll dangle the pick as trade bait if LeBron left.

Because we have a potential Grizzlies lottery pick, and potential lottery picks with our own firsts for the next 3 years, since we suck usually. Could use an immediate bolster to our team and the best way for that to happen would be with our draft picks and a combination of Dion Waiters, Anthony Bennett, Tristan Thompson, etc..
