Did some research on Omer Asik this morning, and found two things I did not know.

He's a very good PnR player. Scored on 57% of PnR attempts last season and 54% of attempts the season before. AD was at 56% last season.

Skilled passer for a big man. Good vision and accuracy.

For his struggles scoring the ball, he's got a pretty soft touch and will surprise you now and then with a very difficult layup that you just don't expect him to pull off. If he gets the right tutelage, something similar to what McHale could give him in Houston, he'll continue to get better. Dude's a double double every night type of center, but obviously not in the 18-15 or 20-15 range. He'll get you 10 to 12 points and corral double digit rebounds, most nights.

It's not good, but I wasn't necessarily saying he would be Noah or Gasol out there. Will probably only be around a 1 ast per game guy, but I was more so speaking in terms of it's something he has the skill to do. Coming in I wouldn't have thought he had any passing skills.

And while we're on that, Joakim Noah had a 26.4% assist rate this year. Forget centers, that would have been not good but great for a wing player.

Did not understand what I said? I said that he's got a soft touch and every now and then pulls off a shot you'd never expect him to be able to do. Jesus Christ.

At age 9, the guard was the height of a smaller Muggsy Bogues, with the weight of a blossoming Eddy Curry as he started his NBA career

There isn't many players I respect more than Haslem in the league. Dude was getting DNPs in the playoffs and still opted out to help the CAP situation.

I think that is more Riley than Haslem. He knows they're still going to offer him a 3 year deal despite not being good anymore.
