I'll say right now that if the Pistons drafted Melo they wouldn't have won the championship in '04 so I don't get why people complain about the Darko pick.

Im watching the 2012 Draft on NBATV, and it got me thinking after they showed Lamb getting drafted by Houston

Wasn't there a trade rumor of Harden for #3? They totally should have done that instead, gotten Bradley Beal

According to Chad Ford, the Kevin Love trade has almost been agreed upon. Just debating between Barnes vs picks

The supposedly has to do with Ford being awful, not me being a Celtics fan, just wanted to get that out of the way

no, Klay and Lee for Love and Martin are in the deal. It's whatelse Minny gets: 2 picks, one pick and Barnes, etc

How do you figure? I'm sure they still would've made the Sheed trade.

Yeah, because team chemistry doesn't exist....

Also, there was no reason to go sign a PF in free agency when they drafted Darko; it wasn't until they realized Darko sucked that they made the move for Sheed

They might have targeted a forward had they gone with Melo. And again, team chemistry would be all off. Pistons worked well with playing team basketball, and Melo has always been a ball-needy player. The team would be completely different. This ain't 2K

Yeah cause rookie Carmelo would step into the lockerroom and become a team cancer for a team with championship aspirations. Give me a break.

Not saying that man. It's the butterfly effect: change one action, and the future is completely unknown

The pistons would be far from guaranteed the 04 title if they took Melo over Darko, which is what CC and I are saying

Weren't really locks at the start of the season either.

Sixers aren't using that. They just toyed with the idea.

No, they are using it. It just isn't going on any branding, but it is a secondary logo
