I was really baked but yeah I agree with those statements. And in that video the one guy says we believe Jordan is the best because he defied conventional wisdom. Or whatever he says like that lol.

im not arguing for either of them, and this goes for both sides. You can't just say its a different league as the argument for Jordan and just ignore the rest of the factors. The league as a whole is more talented and more athletic. Studies and research are more advanced, which in turn creates better schemes designed to stop and elevate talent.

It's not that cut and dry of "the league being different now favors Jordan", or even LeBron. There are so many factors at play

I think the state of the league in the 90s vs. the state of the league now favors LeBron more than it favors Jordan though

Also to whoever said Jordan would have more media scrutiny today, yeah maybe until he won a championship but how are you gonna hate on him after that?

I concede that I firmly believe LeBron has become overrated as a defender because of the chase down blocks. He has a tendency to lose sight of his man, now and then, and can't always recover to take away a quick, hard cut to the basket.
 
That's about the only knock I have on his defense, but I don't particularly think he's that dominant, defensively. The job he did on Rose was nice but he had, what 5 inches and 50 pounds on Rose?

His defense this year wasn't as good. I don't think anyone will deny that.

He is however the only player in the league who can even come close to defending all 5 positions.

It's true and the only people who think he's this all-world defender are the ESPN hype beasts.
 
I mean he's a great defender but come on. Michael was a better defender. I'd also argue Michael was just as good a passer as LeBron, but just more selfish. If you care to distinguish the two. Michael's selfishness made him better though
