The Celtics are in the early stages of a rebuild, and as you just stated, Jared Sullinger is their best young asset, essentially meaning they don't have any young assets. They're not in a position to be excluding positions from a draft board/plan. They have to just get the best talent with the most upside. Whether or not that is Randle is another question, but not having PFs in the discussion because Jared Sullinger is on the roster is absurd. Not to mention Sullinger isn't really a PF.
Sully is a PF until we get a defensive PF who can protect the rim.

And we are having PFs in the discussion: Gordon and Vonleh. Each of them can play another position and be on the court with sullinger at the same time. Randle cannot, and that forces Boston to trade Sully. thats why it makes no sense to go after him.

you dont draft a guy just so you can trade another. you take the other guy with extremely similar potential levels, and keep the other guy.

Come on Dan. I know you dislike Celtics' Sully, but you cant even deny what mobruler is saying is idiotic

I'm not arguing the merits of Randle's actual ability. I'm very bipolar with him. I'll watch him and see things I really like, and then get turned off by a lot of other things. I don't really know what to think of his NBA ability. But that's not my point.

And I don't dislike Sullinger at all, I'm just confused at your opinion of him. I honestly don't see anything about him that would warrant someone to want to move forward with him as a future piece or pencil him in as a starter. He's an energy big to me, nothing more

Sullinger is Drew Gooden and Randle is your hero.  Denying it is idiotic.  Oh wait, he wouldn't even work out with you, so you have no hope to add the best PF since Tim Duncan.

If you want my honest opinion, I don't think Sully will ever be as good as Drew Gooden

I felt I gave too much credit.

I don't think Waiters will be on the Cavs by the end of the draft

Knew that was gonna happen. Owner gets what he wants. If wiggins fails the gm ain't gotta worry that he picked the wrong guy haha

Which is a trade I make 100 times out of 100. Get rid of Jack and still get Wiggins? Sign me up.
apparently Cleveland called up the Bucks and said they would swap picks if the Bucks gave up Giannis

The 76ers have to say yes, the Cavs certainly don't. They want more, which is what is holding that up

I'd do it.
One right guy can turn your franchise around. If it's not the #1 pick it probably won't be 10 and 32 either
