I actually liked Omar Infante more than Peralta. Infante doesn't have the power Peralta does, but he's been much more consistent and a very good contact hitter. I felt the Tigers had the best 9 hole hitter in baseball last season with Infante cycling the order over.
Anyways, I wouldn't tell anyone they are wrong if they thought the free agency losses of Peralta or Infante were more valuable players than the free agency acquisition of Nathan. The value of a hitter vs. the value of a pitcher is an endless debate in baseball.
