I actually liked Omar Infante more than Peralta.  Infante doesn't have the power Peralta does, but he's been much more consistent and a very good contact hitter.  I felt the Tigers had the best 9 hole hitter in baseball last season with Infante cycling the order over.
 
Anyways, I wouldn't tell anyone they are wrong if they thought the free agency losses of Peralta or Infante were more valuable players than the free agency acquisition of Nathan.  The value of a hitter vs. the value of a pitcher is an endless debate in baseball.

That MLB.TV comes at a fairly good price. I would just prefer seeing it on TV, but DIRECTV hasn't released the MLB Extra Innings package yet and it's going to be around $200. It's not really needed as I can already watch my team, but I like watching other games when the Tigers aren't playing. Don't know if that justifies $200.

The Indians are doing something very right when it comes to player salaries.  I couldn't believe what Brantley was locked up for.  Looks like Masterson is next in line to be under-paid.  I wouldn't be surprised if they extend Kipnis to a contract smaller than what you're expecting.
