uhhhh

There better be a haul of prospects coming back if that's even close to being true.

The Rangers and Tigers are discussing a blockbuster deal that would send Prince Fielder to Texas for Ian Kinsler, CBSSports.com has learned.

One person involved in the talks called it a "possibility."

The Rangers made a play for Fielder when he was a free agent a couple years ago before the Tigers signed him for $214 million over nine years.

Trading Kinsler would open second base for Jurickson Profar.

Fielder has a limited no-trade clause, but it isn't known if it includes Texas.

It depends on all the details, but I don't like Prince being brought up anyways. I understand why, because both Kinsler and Prince would help out the other team, but signing Prince to a 9 year deal, and not even half way through it, this comes up. It would be like giving up on it and calling that signing a mistake.

it was. and yes, its admitting a mistake but also trying to fix it. nothing wrong with that, especially because we'd be able to spend more and stay just as good.

Some rival evaluators believe that Shin-Soo Choo will now land in Detroit, to play LF. We'll see

The Rangers are considering a run at top-tier free-agent outfielder Shin-Soo Choo and apparently have ruled out the other top free agent outfielder, Jacoby Ellsbury.

Texas needs to replace offense provided by Nelson Cruz, and assuming the Rangers don't re-sign Cruz, Choo fits the bill. However, a Rangers connected person suggested they aren't likely to secure him if "rumored prices" are accurate.

[...]

It's possible Ellsbury could be more in play for Texas eventually, but Choo seems to be the main target for now

I'd be happy with Choo, Ellsbury, Beltran, or Granderson.
Curtis would be welcomed back with open arms by most.

I assume they mean offense produced by the outfield because Fielder already replaces Cruz's bat.

Makes me wonder if DD's targeting two of these FA outfielders.

I don't think so either lol

Although I wonder if he's looking at one of two big ones (Choo/Ellsbury) to go with a vet on the back end of his career.

idk I'm just thinking out loud though lol

The Royals tweeted about having a "major baseball announcement" and then it was this. I don't think they understand what major means.
