Yeah, yeah, we all got jokes...

BUT

The Yankees are old

The Blue Jays were overrated

And both are very, very expensive clubs.

And then there are the Sox lol
They're the smartest team of the group!

They sold off their bad contracts to the Dodgers and opted for a 2-year plan of well payed veterans and whattaya know, it's worked.  Come 2015, the Yankees will still be paying A-Rod, Teixeira, and CC a combined $56.5 million, while the Jays will still be paying Dickey, Reyes, and Buehrle a combined $48 million.  The Red Sox on the other hand have Pedroia, Buchholz, and a whole lot of money to spend.

Plus there's plenty of money to re-up Lester and Ellsbury.

Bogaerts should be ready by then. Igelias is beasting. We're set.

Trading Gonzalez was a blessing in disguise at the time.

They won't re-sign Ellsbury.  He's going to want a contract that is the type Boston is looking to avoid nowadays & they've got a plethora of speedy outfielders in the minors right now.

I don't ever really see Vasquez ever becoming anything. He's limited to LF and our system is stacked with Corner OF prospects. Not to mention the system's pretty weak as a whole.

The White Sox probably didn't want to deal Crain to a division rival either.
Well I read somewhere that he is a long term project, and probably wouldn't make the league for a few more years, but has promising potential as a hitter.

The phrase "Long Term Project" turns me off immediately. He might turn out be a big league player, but then again he might not. Some Astros guy at milb.com said he's like their 16th best prospect.

And I'd be a lot less pissed if he turns out to be good, than if the bullpen wasn't improved and went on to collapse in October lol

IDK we shall see. To be honest, I don't know enough about Veras to give a real determination on what I think of the trade.

Tigers and Giants are talking I guess. Speculation is that it would be about Javier Lopez.

Yahoo! Sports reports that players who have already been suspended for PED use linked to Biogenesis, including Bartolo Colon, Yasmani Grandal and Melky Cabrera, will likely avoid further suspension.

Meanwhile, nine known players and more who haven't been reported are all but certain to take plea deals in the coming days or weeks. Possible plea acceptors include: Detroit shortstop Jhonny Peralta, Texas outfielder Nelson Cruz, San Diego shortstop Everth Cabrera, New York Yankees catcher Francisco Cervelli and Seattle minor leaguer Jesus Montero. Players accepting plea deals have a chance to be suspended until the end of the 2013 season, as opposed to a 100-game ban if they refuse to cooperate.

And IDK what the hell we are going to do when Jhonny gets suspended. Going to be fucked without him.

Well DD has 19 hours to get something done lol

The Angels might be trying to move Aybar. IDK what his asking price is but he might not be too bad. The only issue is that he still has 3 years on his contract.

I was hoping we would go after Alexei Ramirez.
