They are, but it'll be the first time the Cavs will have multiple games on national TV since having Kyrie, he always shows out in big moments, and he already has the hype. With the LeBron rumors that will surely go on all year, people will be paying attention to the Cavs, and Kyrie will benifit immensely from the exposure.

MVP hype will be there

They'd have to be on pace for at least the 4th seed for Kyrie to get MVP hype IMO.

I can't wait for the schedule. Should be out in less than two weeks.

If the Pels don't get a good number of national tv games I'm going to be pissed.

Maybe. He gets a lot of publicitcy for a star on a bad team, more than I can remember in recent history. All-star weekend helped him out this year. Circumstances are different. He's going to be top 3 on ballots if the Cavs are even just a 6th seed IMO.

He might be the most fun player to watch in the league too, only helps. Puts up stats like 24/7, and theres no doubt hes going to come close to winning. People are going to be looking to vote for someone other than LeBron, especially if the Heat aren't the #1 seed.

That guy backtracked after he realized what he said was so stupid, and said nothing is imminent and he meant long term because of the way his contract is set up. Basically, he's looking for radio hits.

Rose, Paul, Durant. Maybe even Harden or Howard, maybe even a Pacer. The league's gonna be pretty top heavy. And as much as voter fatigue might set in, people still love to go by records.

I'm not saying the guy was right, and I don't think those tweets from Kyrie mean a thing, but he's there to stay. Probably for another six or seven years.

I forgot about Chris Paul.

idk though. I'm telling you, Kyrie gets a lot of notority. For a guy not playing in a huge market, on a bad team the last few years, everyone knows who he is. He puts up some astonishing numbers, his normal few 4th quarter bonanzas and he's right there.

Kyrie won't win MVP lol

Maybe if it was purely a fan vote thing, but the guys that vote are pretty smart dudes.

He could. I think he'll at least be in the top 5, even though I already said top 3.

I'm agreeing with you. But I think he's at the stage where people genuinely love him and know how good he is but when you go a step further and compare him to the top guys in the league and what have you, he's still that kid that plays on a shitty team and hasn't won jack.

I'm fine with that. But he's not going to have the impact on the game a Chris Paul or Kevin Durant will.

This doesn't have to do with this season, but like I've stated in the past the Cavs weren't any better with Kyrie on the court than they were when he was off the court, mostly because of his defense.

I don't think Kyrie will, but you never know

Just look back to 2010.

Lebron has top PER, second best scorer, won 3 POM awards (nobody else got more than two), lead Heat to 56 wins
Durant won the scoring title, gives OKC homecourt advantage for 1st time ever (and 55 wins)
And yet DRose won, as he led his Bulls in his 3rd year to a 19 win improvement, best in the league. He also improved his stats from 20.8/6 to 25/7.7

Cavs won 24 games last year. If Cleveland ends up 44-38 (the record of last year's #6 seed in the East), which is a 20 game improvement, and averages 25/7 this next year, you don't think there is a solid chance Kyrie gets MVP? He's that flashy kid that fans like, DRose might not be 100%, people dont want to give LBJ another MVP

It's more about the #1 seed than about the 19 game improvement though for Rose's case. People really do have a boner for overall records.

Dwyane Wade in 08-09 was goddamn insane. He led his shitsquad of a team to the 5th seed (43-39) but he ended up losing to LeBron in a landslide and was even behind Kobe. Both guys were on #1 seeds.

I've now gone back to 1990 and no MVP since then has been lower than on a second seed.

It's not gonna happen.
