Common misconception, he wasn't actually lazy or coasting. Uconn's guards didn't understand the concept of passing, they didn't put Andre in a position to succeed on offense at all, and basically just used him as a defensive enforcer.

Andre Drummond jumped 233 spots in ESPN's Player Rankings poll from a season ago.
 
Drummond was ranked 277th in 2012 after he was the ninth overall draft pick by the Detroit Pistons.
 
Drummond is ranked No. 54 entering his second NBA season

that is not true at all

While it's true that Bazz rarely passed ever, we ran many designed plays for Drummond on the low block. He'd fake in, spin out, take a short jump shot and would miss horrendously. Most of his shots were not good shot attempts, at all

Because giving the ball to Drummond on the low block and expecting him to put it in the hoop, isn't putting him in the right position to succeed.
