The Nets would win a 7 game series.

The whole "the nets are better without brook" is cute and all but the fact is that we needed time to mesh. Nothing more. We didn't know each others tendencies, how to rotate on D, etc. We would be even better with him.
Man, this site really needs an ROFL smiley, because that's just terrific.

Yes, you would win a 7 game series...if Houston was starting Omer Asik, Jeremy Lin, and Donatas Motiejunas for all 7 of those games, along with giving minutes to guys like fucking Omri Casspi and Isaah Canaan, who has a future in this league but just isn't ready.

Now I'm rooting for a BKN/HOU finals.
This needs to be settled.

I still can't see any reason the Rockets being better than the Nets

Brooklyn has the best record in the East in 2014.

Because PG is literally the only position they aren't better than the Nets at.

Not sure why we are boosting the Nets for play from only 2014 and devaluing a full season of consistent success from Houston.

Deron Williams v Jeremy Lin: advantage BKN
Shaun Livingston v James Harden: HOU
Joe Johnson v Chandler Parsons: BKN
Paul Pierce v Terrence Jones: BKN
Kevin Garnett v Dwight Howard: HOU

Breaking down the teams by positional advantage is the most amateur approach possible. Good job.

And Houston has the exact same record as Brooklyn in their last 30 games, and that's against the West.

If you're playing a declining Pierce out of position at PF against an actual PF who is athletic and can physically impose his will on Pierce,it's not an advantage. And again, playing Johnson out of position against a taller SF is hardly an advantage. Parsons is already a tough cover without a height advantage.

Feel free to run that lineup if you want to get dominated on the boards. And no, I dont care that the Nets won a game against them with it.

Regardless the Heat still play in that conference and they're pretty good.

Also, Paul Pierce is not an advantage over TJones, and Johnson over Parsons is very debatable. Joe can score a ton of a points as the #1 scoring option but Parsons can drop just as many on any given night as the third option.
