OJ Mayo got ejected from the game tonight, and he looked like he was actually excited. Couldn't get off the court fast enough. But he hasn't ran that fast to get back on defense a single time this season lol
sadly, he burned his bridge though. no one was running to sign him, hes kind of stuck in bad positions now.

Yeah, if signing in Milwaukee for three years was his best option I would like to see what else he was offered.

Rob, if you could redo the Knight and Middleton for Jennings deal, would you?

Were there any picks exchanged in there?

no picks. luckily. maybe a second, but nothing too major.

idk. middleton is a stroker but we couldn't assume he'd be anything more than a role played but hes what we need now. i was a can of bk as a combo off the bench. i probably wouldn't have. its not like i was a huge fan of the trade to begin with.

Hindsight is obviously 20/20. I made a post a couple weeks back about how I thought Middleton is showing signs of a player who is about to break out, and he's averaging 13 pts a game on 49% shooting in just 25 minutes per game since All-Star weekend. I probably wouldn't do the trade again, and I still do not like the Smith signing lol

i didn't like the josh signing at all. the bj trade wasn't too bad. you took a risk on him turning into a better olayer, since the twister was better. nothing has worked.

I would reverse the Jennings/Knight deal in a heartbeat for three reasons:

1. Brandon Jennings is literally one of the least efficient volume shooters in NBA history and I think it's impossible to win with a guy like that on your roster.

2.  Brandon Knight plays with a lot of effort and seems like he really cares unlike quite a bit of NBA players.  He seems very intelligent which is surprising from a Calipari guy.  He seems to me like a player who will continue to improve through hard work.

3.  If Knight is never traded for Jennings, the Pistons probably draft Trey Burke over Kid Can't-Play and resume Knight's career as a SG.  This isn't really a valid reason for the trade to be reversed today, but it's a reason why I hate the original deal.

Is KCP really that bad? I haven't been paying attention. Has to be better than Bazz, right?

his shot has been awol. not like he has a whole lot of team and coaching to help him.

hes a million times better than bazz. he looks like a off the bench 3D guy.

Middleton is a weird player because he's a guy who elevated himself from probably deserving to not be in the NBA to probably deserving to be on the end of someone's bench.  Last season, he would have these very spontaneous impressive games sprinkled into being a mostly bad NBA player.  If someone watched him on the right night, I can see why they would feel he is going to break out.

I think the intent was in place though.  I don't think drafting a shooting guard and putting Knight back at point guard was ever a real situation they were ready to go forward with.

I dont understand why so many want dantoni fired
This roster sucks

Give him players, and he will succeed
Did it in phoenix, did it in NY when they were buying in. They were a fun group pre-melo

So jennings still playing like a scrub?

Are you a scrub if you attempt 15 FGs per game and your FG% is under 38?

I agree with this.  Guy isn't a miracle worker.  Very hard to win when the front office doesn't provide you the players necessary to do the job.  It's just like when an NFL coach who seems decent gets fired after having a bullshit quarterback provided to him for three seasons.
