It's hard to call this win a statement for Houston when the Heat are on a back-to-back and traveling from the East Coast, but it's still a win over the Heat, which I don't think Houston has had in the Big 3 era.

I'd be more hesitant about it, considering Bev had a big game, but Parsons was really quiet, offensively, so that sort of balances it out. Either way, nice win.

And while he's not a great player, I will flat out state that Pat Beverly is a lot better than some people realize. He's unlikely to ever become much more than he is, but he's not so bad that he shouldn't be in the NBA. I would love to have a starting PG with more offensive game, but what Bev does is very important to this Houston team.

Initially that might be an issue, but he's talented enough to adjust. He has already adjusted to a quick change in body when he grew 8 inches in his junior year of high school. Dude nearly committed to Cleveland State before the growth spurt

Nola, do they have stats pertaining to how much of someone's offense comes from isolation, PnR, etc.. on NBA.com? Or do you get them from somewhere else? I haven't looked at the usage category, in assuming that's where it is

Just did some stats and revisited the, arguably, two biggest NBA trades in the past few years: Dwight Howard to LA, James Harden to HOU.

I just did simple computations of comparing Win Share values. I took the 2012 Win Shares of the players on their original team, and compared them to what they got and their 2014 Win Share values. Note: If they didn't play with their new team in 2014, they received a 0.

Lakers:
Received: Howard, Clark, Duhon
Moved: Bynum, McRoberts, Eyenga
Total Win Share: -9.4
No Laker received is on the current roster
Sixers:
Received: Bynum, Richardson
Moved: Iguodala, Vucevic
Total Win Share: -9.1
No Sixer received is on the current roster
Nuggets:
Received: Iguodada
Moved: Afflalo, Harrington
Total Win Share: -8.5
Iguodala is not on the current roster
Magic:
Received: Afflalo, Harrington, Vucevic, Harkless (draft pick), McRoberts, Eyenga
Moved: Howard, Clark, Duhon, Richardson
Total Win Share: -1.6
The clear winner of the Dwight trade, since they are the only team that has members from the trade on roster

Thunder:
Received: Martin, Lamb (draft pick), Adams (draft pick)
Moved: Harden, Cook, Hayward, Aldridge
Total Win Share: -6.0
Martin left in Free Agency
Rockets:
Received: Harden, Cook, Hayward, Aldridge
Moved: Martin
Total Win Share: +4.9
Harden is an NBA All Star, and aside for draft picks, the only player that Houston moved is no longer on the Thunder.

Ranking the teams: Rockets, Magic, Thunder, Nuggets, Sixers, Lakers

Paul George shot 41% in January and 40% in February, 39% in three games in March.
