Trust 'Melo to drop 62 points in a completely meaningless game in a completely meaningless season. If he did that in game that mattered I'd be way more impressed. He was bound to have a game like this, but what is going to make this game relevant in the long run? Nothing.

At some point, you have to give the guys you hate their due. No one is "bound" to have a 60 point game. Dude went 23-35 from the field.

Against the Bobcats. In a season where the Knicks probably won't even make the playoffs. In a career in which the player himself has sabotaged his own potential by refusing to become a better defender or team player.
 
62 points is amazing. What I meant when I said it was "bound to happen at some point" is that Melo's incredible offensive game was going to lead to a game like this at least once in his career.
 
And yet he dished out not a single assist.
