Nola, im curious as to why u predicted the raps to finish 5th in the East?

It's a lot of different reasons. Some of it has to do with the weak East, I'm not sure how likely they are to finish 5th, but they finally got rid of Bargnani, and conveniently he went to my #6 team, the Knicks. That's addition by subtraction. I also really like that Toronto got back Steve Novak in return, which should make the Raptors offense more efficient when he is on the floor. Same goes for Austin Daye, another floor spacer. I'm not anywhere near a Rudy Gay fan, and apparently neither is Ujiri, but adding guys that teams can't leave alone on the perimeter should make life for him and Demar Derozan easier. I think Tyler Hansbrough will be a big get too, he brings a attitude that carries over.

I also LOVE Jonas Valanciunas. He's going to be really good. If he gets the minutes he deserves, I can see him being a very efficient 14 points and 9 rebounds next season. Which should help Rudy Gay, because Gays best moments in Memphis came when he had another very skilled big on the court with him in Marc Gasol.

There is no reason to have Asik at all, then. He doesn't provide offense really, cannot guard the 4, and his biggest strength (rebounding) isn't really needed when you have Dwight.

You should have a stretch 4 like Terrence Jones start with Howard, not Omer Asik

 
Terrance Jones is who I want to start at the 4, but he's got an injury and I'm going to be pissed if Greg Smith keeps starting.
