Well like I said, if you just look at purely raw stats then you could say he's regressed, but that isn't the truth.

Early in training camp, Tyreke essentially lost 5 weeks to his ankle injury. He literally missed 3 weeks of practice and game time, then took another two weeks before he was back into game shape and was mentally ready. There was an article that came out around that time about how he lost 12 lbs from the start of the season (Oct 30th) to midway through November, and that next game he scored 19 pts on 62% shooting. Since then, he's averaged 15 pts, 6 rbs, and 5 asts per game on 45% from the field, in probably 27 or so minutes. He's also been a pretty solid defender. I don't see how that's a disappointment. During those first two weeks, he was averaging 8 pts a game on about 31% shooting, so that kind of puts his raw numbers into perspective.

As for the minutes, I don't know. I think it has a lot to do with the Pelicans inability to rebound outside of Anthony Davis. So you are pretty much forced to play Al-Farouq Aminu just so you don't get killed on the boards. I've never been a huge fan of Montys rotations anyway, but whatever.

So people talk about how many unearned free throws that Durant and Harden shoot, and they're right, however, their number of unearned free throws is nothing, NOTHING, compared to the amount of unearned free throws that Dirk shoots. There is no other player who gets so many arbitrary whistles.
