I may be wrong or read it wrong but I thought I saw something showing that the Pistons were significantly better defensively with Drummond off the floor

yea but it's misleading because josh defends fours better and greg defends fives better.

Better defensively, but worse offensively.

Like Rob said, it is kind of misleading, but still funny.

So josh is better vs 4s
Monroe vs 5s

But drum is a 5 with miles of potential

Who is the odd man out

Monroe has the most value, and I don't know if you're going to be able to convince anyone to take that Smith contract and give you some good pieces back.

but we wont get equal value at all when/if we deal monroe. ideally we'd need to take back a small forward. who fits that description? especially a team who needs a big.

RFA for RFA
Turner for Monroe

Otherwise, they're going to have to let him leave to the lakers or match his offer sheet

Maybe sell high on hawes for a turner replacement

*WARNING: BOSOX TRADE PROPOSAL COMING*

Boston gets: Monroe, Villanueva, Stuckey, Singler
Detroit gets: Green, Wallace, Bradley, Lee

Pistons get a good scoring SF in Green, a defensive stud in Bradley. Lee fills the off the bench scoring that Stuckey had, and Wallace is added to the deal so Boston can shed salary

Celtics get a dominant big to play C and to pair with Sullinger. With Rondo coming back, either JCraw, who just won POTW, or Bradley goes to the bench. Now, Crawford can start at the two. Singler is a guy that Stevens would like to have at SF, and with guys like Parker, Wiggins, GR3, Hood, McDermott, etc all coming in the draft, we can get a SF then

Personally I think this deal is great for both teams. Boston is kinda left without a SF, but we can always go re-sign someone like TWill or pick up James Anderson, or make a trade for one.

honestly, i like that. its just too big and too major if a trade for one mediocre team and one bad team.

Jeff Green for Monroe and Jerebko would be a lot simpler lol.

I'm not taking on Wallace's horrid contract to trade an asset... As well as trading all of our financial flexibility away just for Avery Bradley essentially.

Chauncey is playing tonight. Hopefully he picks up his play as backup PG, so we can stop playing Bynum lol.

TT is too similar to Sully, Miami pick means nothing

They are literally nothing alike other than being black.

Undersized PF needed to play C at times, decent mid range but post moves are skill, solid rebounder, above average defender but nothing special...

At this point Tristan is a C in my mind. His mid range game is poor at the moment, must be used on the low block, and has the potential to develop a good iso post up game. Good/Great athlete, with potential to be an excellent defender if he puts it all together, can run the floor like a deer if put in the right system.

Sully has no real shot to ever be a good defender with his limited athletic ability and back problems, and he's slow. Can work effectively from the high block and extend the defense out to 3 point range.

And Tristan is a vastly superior rebounder, by the way.

They seem like a good pairing if you're willing to commit to Tristan full time at C, hoping he adds more bulk.

I don't think either team would accept that trade anyway. Chris Grant isn't going to trade one of his draft picks away, and it's not enough for Boston to deal Green.
