can you guys think of a real Pau trade? I can't

he's still really really good, but it's impossible to get equal value because he's 32, makes a TON of money and has a trade kicker

he needs the post. always played better with Odom than Bynum/Dwight because he's a center
plus guys like melo and lebron are pf's now so it's impossible for him to guard them

they arent pf's anyways. hes not really really good either. hes good. hes worth nowhere near his contract. hes old, but that doesnt really bother his game, he just isnt as valuable.

I forgot that the Cavs had the right to swap their Miami pick with the Lakers pick this year. That's looking pretty decent right now.

lakers 1-6 when kobe scores more than 30
the other day he had 14/8 and they won by a 100

when will he take a hint? (btw last game was fluky, im not saying he should average 14/8, but still)

this has been the case forever it seems. when he scores a lot, they either lose or barely win
look at the other day. he scored 40, they lost to the pacers

I don't think the Lakers/Dwight got the memo of what to do when you play your old team

jordan hill IS a good player, but he wont play with the lakers because they use Jamison at the 4 now

they should trade him for a shooter

That's not a terrible trade for Houston, but Utah gets shit
That is the definition of a terrible trade for Houston. Parson leaves. Patterson leaves. Jones leaves. We get Pau and scrubs. Yay. The team isn't significantly better (actually, it would get worse).

Stop overrating Pau. I'm tired of it.

Parsons is a role player, thrusted into the #2 option due to a lack of talent
Patterson is garbage, you've literally been saying that for weeks, that Morris should start over Patterson.

Yes you get back scrubs. You also give up scrubs as well; giving up the four players with the lowest WS total, while having played 5 games. While TJ is a rookie with little PT, he isn't projected to be more than a below average PF if starting (12ppg, 6 rpg).

Pau and Asik form a very good and tall frontcourt, very good at getting rebounds, which is quite essential for a team that is 2nd in 3PT shots attempted. They are also a very good defensive tandem. Is he scoring well this year? Not really, but a lot of that has to do with Metta World Peace taking way too many shots, which takes away from Pau. Pau has his lowest FGA/game in his career, as well as his lowest USG% in his career. He's not getting the ball as much, being a natural #3 option but due to the way the Lakers gamestyle is, its a force the ball inside method, where either Kobe drives or give it to Dwight, which leaves MWP for an open 3 a lot. Its good ball movement by the Lakers, just doesnt help out Pau's cause. Pau would be the best player on the Rockets team, and would be the #2 option because Harden is a ball hog. Pau also assists Lin a lot in the P&R/P&P game too, given Gasol's range.

Is your favorite dickbuddy Chandler Parsons leaving in the deal? yes. Is Pau significantly better? yes. Does this make the Rockets better? Maybe. I'm not sure how well Carlos Delfino can do while starting at SG/SF. Their frontcourt is definitely improved, and their scoring efficiency probably increases as well. Does it matter? No, because Utah isn't moving their 2nd best player and their expirings just to get rid of Marvin Williams' contract, but to add two smaller PFs and a C to an already overcrowded bigman rotation between Jefferson, Favors, and Kanter (and Millsap).

Didn't the Heat start out 9-8 with LeBron/Wade/Bosh??? They'll be fine.

I'm not saying they'll suck all year, but Pau is being underused, Nash might never be healthy, and Dwight isn't the same force he use to be.
