I wanted to trade Varejao, but I'm not sure how the Cavs would handle that PR wise. Would be a disaster.

Had 5 assists tonight too. He's a great passing big man. Only weakness right now is that he doesn't block shots.

How is his defensive game? I don't watch the Cavs, and blocked shots don't necessarily translate to good or bad defense.

He's probably the best at defending the pick and roll for a center. Doesn't get bullied down low, he just isn't a shot blocking threat or someone you fear as a guard driving into the paint aside from the occasional charge drawn.

Really good defensive player.

Hollinger had him as his defensive player of the year a few years ago using his advanced metrics.
