I am merely saying, that I've heard the chances both Stovall and Davis making the roster, barring a royal fuck up, is quite likely.
If that means carrying 6 WRs, then so be it.

Lions will probably carry an extra OT/OG and an extra DT.. Not an extra WR.

If you release Stovall, he'll be there waiting if yall ever wanna bring him back. No team is going to take somebody off their 53 just to have Stovall on.

Lions signed WR Maurice Stovall, formerly of the Bucs.
Like Rashied Davis, Stovall is a fourth receiver and special teamer. The two veterans will likely battle Derrick Williams for one roster spot with Stefan Logan handling returns as the fifth receiver. We're keeping an eye on rookie Titus Young, who has missed the last two practices with a leg injury.

Colt McCoy leads all NFL quarterbacks with a 132.6 passer rating through two exhibition games.
McCoy is off to a great start in HC Pat Shurmur's West Coast offense, but we don't want to blow this out of proportion just yet. Next on the preseason passer rating list are the inimitable Mike Kafka (99.9), Richard Bartel (97.0), and Brady Quinn (95.1) -- all of whom opened camp as third-stringers.

Not really something to look into because of the other dudes. But since he is going against 1st stringers and 2nd stringers that is still pretty nice.

Vandenbosch is the most experienced, and can be argued to be better than JPP, which makes him Solder's test. Its not like he's starting off this season as our starting LT. Matt Light is.
