He also got 0 targets in his first game lol.
4 catches, 67 yards, and a TD for a pre-season game is nice.
He was more than likely playing against 3rd stringers... Doesn't really mean much.

Is he not suppose to play well regardless of when he plays? He is trying to make the roster, not become our #1 WR. He is also a solid blocking WR.

Lulz, I forgot, when going against Ramzee Robinson you are suppose to just stop playing cause Robinson sucks.

How could I be so damn forgetful?

If you based it off of KamboSlice, most of the players in the NFL would be garbage. ;)
I just speak the truth my mannn..

Also.

Even if Stovall made the team, he would more than likely be a scratch on the opening day roster as well top 46 Roster on gamedays. Most #5 WR's aren't active..

When did I say that? But you're hyping up his play whenever he played against somebody who more than likely won't be on the final roster.

Its nice to say "He made plays against this guy" but you also have to take into account that the guy he was going against Just Maybe wasn't any good.

Lol, that is exactly what I'm doing, hyping him.
I said he had a nice game. Why do you continue to insist to put words in my mouth?

I'm not even sure how often we'll use a #4 WR. Looks like it will be Green, Simpson and Shipley in the slot with Gresham at TE. We got guys like Ryan Whalen, Andre Caldwell that will barely ever get the chance to play.

How am I putting words into your mouth?

You said you hope he makes the team because of his Size, then stated he was the same size as CJ (as if that meant anything) I said size doesn't mean shit..

you said he also had a nice game..

I said he was going against people that will more than likely NOT make the roster so you have to take that into account.

You were basically being stuck up about it "So is he not suppose to play".

All I said was, while he did look good for a preseason game, thats just what it is.. a preseason game.. he was going against dudes who won't be on the final roster.. Stovall has always had problems his whole career creating separation and thats one of the many reasons why he never worked out in Tampa Bay. Maybe thats why he wasn't targeted the first preseason game? He was probably playing a better CB than Ramzee and the CB shut him down. Its not like Stovall is making plays every week, and the team and players are just raving about him.. He had a decent game against a #4/5 CB.. nothing to really brag about.

Also..

Lions WRs:
CJ
Burleson
Titus Young
Stefan Logan (Takes up a spot strictly because of his return ability)
So it'll be Stovall, Derrick Williams, Nate Hughes, Tim Toone, Rashied Davis all battling for the #5 spot..

He had a decent game against a #4/#5 CB, probably cause he is a #4/#5 WR.
Which if you wouldn't blow shit out of proportion, is what I said to begin with.
Stop trying to act like I said this guy is some crazy ass talent or something. I said I hope he makes the team as our #4.

Logan is not taking #4. Coaches have said the battles for the #4 and #5 are open and what not.

Didn't say anybody was any number.. I just put Logan on there ahead of them because he has playmaking ability at the return position and he has to take up a WR spot.

Like Kassim Osgood for the Jags.. Hes one of the best ST Players in the league, but he is also a WR.. so he takes up a WR spot even though he doesn't get much playing time.

Personally I would rather us keep either Hughes or Davis. Rip are you saying we would cut Logan? There's no way in hell we would cut him. Not saying you did just asking if thats what you are saying lol

While Stovall is big, and can block.. Nate Hughes has decent size, and speed along with very clean route running ability and getting by defenses to make a big play.

Think Troy Williamson with way better hands.

You're acting like Rip wanting him on the roster means that he think he's some all-world player.

No lol.
I am merely saying, that I've heard the chances both Stovall and Davis making the roster, barring a royal fuck up, is quite likely.
If that means carrying 6 WRs, then so be it.
