From the looks of the cameras on the field, its not that dark...just play IMO.

49ers looking good though.

Roethlisberger shouldn't be playing. Dude is hobbling all over the place.

Alex Smith has really come into his own this year.
He's a really good QB.

I wouldn't go quite that far. He's just not put into a position to screw anything up. He's very efficient, but also very conservative.

That is a large reason why David Akers is setting records.

He's conservative, but so is the play calling. He's 20th in the league in attempts, and he really doesn't have much help. Vernon Davis isn't nearly as good as he was, and his WR's aren't helping him much either. He also has little protection, but still delivers nice throws from the pocket. If he was given the opportunity to throw more I'm sure he'd be a top 10 guy, which by the QB Rating he already is. He's real safe with the ball, but still takes his shots downfield when they are there. I love the way he's playing, and I love how thick his skin is. He's been bashed so much, but with all the different offenses and coordinators, he never had a chance. Now that he has both a good QB friendly coach and an offense he's comfortable with, he's doing a great job.

Yes, I ranted, but I can't help it. I'm really impressed with him, especially the way he's handling himself against this defense.

I don't get what people are saying when they make statements like Vernon Davis isn't as good. He's past his prime? lol just because his stats declined...

Big Ben getting beaten up. Poor fella. I'm glad the 49ers aren't going for his ankle though.

No Yankess. If you actually watch him, he's isn't nearly as good. He doesn't make the tough catches anymore, especially when he gets hit. He is missing the catches he once made that made him an elite TE. He still runs good routes, makes some real nice plays, but not at the level he did.

I don't think Alex is a great QB, he has missed several throws tonight that great QB's don't miss. He's a good QB that does just enough, but definitely not great. He's doing a lot better though and I'm glad to see it.

Alex isn't a great QB, but he is smart and doesn't throw INTs. He needs to find a way to score in the red zone.
