I'm LOLing that the Tigers are the bad guys.
Weaver is just a jackass prick.

Tigers reacted funny and shitty I guess. But it really is Weaver's fault. Magglio does what Magglio always does. And Weaver took it as an insult like a dumbass. If I was Guillen I would of done the same exact thing. Weaver is also a dick for making Verlander sit 20+ minutes between innings during a no-hitter bid. At that point in the game, I think it was clear Verlander already had the edge in the Cy Young lol. JV pitched his 2nd best game of the year against his top competition.
I don't think Verlander has the edge in the Cy Young at all. If anyone has the edge, it's Weaver, but it's close between the two of them. I think I remember reading somewhere that the last pitcher to pitch to a sub-2 ERA was Pedro Martinez, who also won the Cy Young that year. Unless Weaver's ERA gets above 2 or Verlander lowers his under 2, I think Weaver has it locked up.

Poor Weaver was crying cause Verlander was out dueling him. I agree completely, the Angels are just as much at fault for any of it. But, I would expect to see an Indians fan and whoever else to see it differently.
Bengals, I don't think you played much baseball in your life? This happens all the time. Even at a high school level, you couldn't do something like that without your next player getting plunked. If Avila was hit in the head, or hit at all, all blame should be put on Guillen. A pitcher should ALWAYS(coming from a pitchers standpoint) stand up for his team, or himself, since he's really the only one who can assert the authority. A guy gets hit from his team, the first pitch of the next inning is at the guy. A player hits a homerun and does his little stunt, next guys getting thrown at. I completely understand and would back Weaver on his actions. Guillen was acting in a very Bush League way after his homerun, and Alex Avila almost had to pay for it. That's why as a hitter you don't do something like that. Have you ever seen Rookie Of The Year, when Bennie(a 13 year old) plays for the Cubs? He dances off first base, calls the pitcher names, and then his teammate gets plunked. Your actions can result in a teammates injury/pain/etc.

JV is my CY Young choice imo. He has advantages in other categories, and carries the Tigers team at times, something stats don't show.

My top three are:

Verlander
Weaver
Beckett/Sabathia

No, I understand it all, is what you seem to be missing is Weaver STARTED it and it just went from there. I know how it works, no need to explain it. Guys that have nothing to do with it usually end up paying the price for it. Avila should've charged the mound and beat the big baby. Like I said a hundred different times now, Weaver started it and the Tigers/Guillen finished it. Time to move on, it's over, it's done with, I'm done talking about it. Things happen, it's part of baseball, this doesn't just happen to the Tigers like everyone is making it seem.

How'd Weaver start it? Miguel was clearly the one that started with the showboating, but ok.

Miguel? He wasn't apart of that. Started with Magglio's home run, that's what started it, Weaver didn't like what Magglio did, even though Magglio always does what he did so it wasn't no surprise or something he's never done before. Anybody that actually knows what happened or watched the game would know how it started and that was with Magglio, for something petty that he didn't mean no harm by.

I meant Magglio. And do you really thing Weaver pays attention to what he does unless he's on the mound?

For some reason the Indians defense loves to gift wrap runs to the other team when David Huff pitches..

Playing no doubles defense certainly helped against Darnell McDonald's broken bat blooper /sarcasm

i nicknamed the Tigers lineup, "The Latin All-Stars" lol

3. Magglio
4. Cabrera
5. Martinez
6. Peralta
7. Guillen
8. Avila
9. Betemit

(Betemit was never an all-star, but work with me here lol pretty good 9th hitter anyways)

and btw, batting Maggs 3rd and Avila 8th is idiotic
