Major League Baseball conducts random drug testing as part of the fallout from a tainted stretch in 1990s.

Either Jose Bautista is extremely lucky or someone has suspicions about him, because the Blue Jays slugger says he has been tested 16 times over the last two years.

Bautista made the remark at a banquet in the Dominican Republic, according to a report in Spanish published in the Dominican newspaper "Hoy."

He said that he had been tested nine times in 2010, the year he led the majors with 54 homers, and was tested seven times last season when he hit another 43 home runs.

In the two previous seasons, he had only been tested three times, Bautista said.

I am liking the Cardinals off season so far.

Losing El Hombre was obviously pretty tough to deal with but we have rebounded nicely. Bringing Furcal back was great. He doesn't add much offensively, but his defense is much appreciated. Really excited for the Beltran signing. Some say we overpaid, but I don't know if you can overpay for production.

And now we are looking at bringing in Roy Oswalt.

I'm really hoping the O's can land Edwin Jackson. That would be ideal. I'm actually expecting a pretty solid season this year from the Orioles. Our lineup was above average last year, but our rotation was just terrible. This year, Britton and Arrieta should continue to get better, and Matusz and Tillman both have good potential. I'm excited to see what our new pitching coach can do with him. I'm blanking on his name but he is pretty well respected. Not to mention we brought in Wei-yin Chen who was ranked 18th overall in top FA's by multiple higher up scouts and analysts. And Guthrie is always a decent guy. If our rotation can even become average we could finally be looking at a .500 season. I definitely don't think it's out of the question.

Definitely. We just need to get some guys that can eat innings and be solid. We are kind of banking on the young guys to improve and be what they were thought to be.

I think Im gonna go to Mets spring training this year, they play in Port St. Lucie. Its a 2.5 hour drive and I think Ill get some good autographs. You also have the Braves Orioles Red Sox Tigers Astros Marlins Twins Yankees Phillies Pirates Cardinals Rays Blue Jays and Nationals. They all play in the Grapefruit league in florida so theres a lot to go to.

Tim Wakefield says he would like to pitch for the Red Sox for at least one more season before he retires.

The 45-year-old made his Major League debut in 1992 and has won 200 games.

"I just saw that (Jorge) Posada retired, you know it's something that my wife and I need to talk about," Wakefield said.

"I'd probably need to talk about it with my kids, too. Ultimately, I would like to obviously play for the Boston Red Sox for one more year and see where it goes."

He should just retire now. He's 45 and after struggling to finally get that 200th win I think it's time to walk away. I can't imagine him having much of an impact on the team next year.
