Giguere is fucken brutal. Thrashers win 3-2 in overtime. If Reimer is out for any length of time, the Leafs small chance of getting to the playoffs is over.

I agree. The 2002 playoffs were amazing.

I was like in grade 1 or 2 at the time and it was when I got into hockey and sports in general. I loved hockey ever since. It was a special time to become a fan.

Evander Kane ran into him and his knee hit him in the head. He stayed in the game for a few more minutes and then left. Giguere came in and completely blew the game.

do u honestly expect Giguere to be lights out? he hasn't played in a long time, he's just coming off an injury and he was called into a game halfway through when he was pretty cold, IMO he played pretty good for the circumstances he was put in, 18 saves out of 20 shots in the third, the leafs as a team should be the one's to blame seeing that they allowed 20 shots in the third period when their goalie hasn't played in a long time

then again what does my opinion mean? seeing that ur the genious of hockey and u know everything and I know nothing

No, I didn't expect Gigeure to be lights out. When he came into the game I was expecting the Thrashers to come back which is exactly what happened. The Leafs play completely different in front of Gigeure than Reimer. It looks like they barely have any confidence in him. I'm looking forward to the day Giguere is no longer a Leaf.

u have pretty damn high expectations when u want a goalie to come into a game halfway through cold with only a 2-0 lead and make 20 saves

I don't think coming into the game halfway through with a two goal lead an holding on to get thew win is to much to ask for.

I've been a big fan of Reimer since his junior days so that's highly unlikely. I've never really been a been of Gigeure.

look at the stats, making 20 saves in one period when ur cold is not easy, holy shit how many times do I have to say it

Not taking sides here, but being a goalie, I can tell you it is very tough to come in a game off the bench and being cold. You often find yourself fighting the puck. So having a .900 save percentage in one period on 20 shots is pretty impressive while being cold.
