Mauer is also one of the three best defensive catchers in the league as well. Whoever willfully ignores perhaps the best season ever from the most demanding position can defend their selection until blue in the face and still be dead wrong.

He's already started in AAA..I know he's pitched against the Pawtucket Red Sox when they were visiting Charlotte.

Mets lose 5-2 to the Cubs. Misch pitched well for his 1st start. Good teams have a little bit of luck go their way, the Mets just dont have that this year. Comebacks are hard to come by as well.

Misch has some spot starter potential but he wasn't more than that and never will be IMO. He can be a useful reliever though
