Mets win again. Nice win since it was a postponed game due to rain. Next up is the Phillies, it would be nice to take 2 of 3 and put us .5 back of them.

9 runs is pretty surprising, although it is the Pirates, we still need to hit.

This is what some Braves fan posted on the mets board which I just found so hilarious:

They might just have the best pitching staff in the majors and when they become more consistant, this team will be a thorn

Jair Jurrjens (2.73 ERA)
Derek Lowe (4.44 ERA) :2 very bad starts recently
Javier Vasquez (3.04 ERA)
Tommy Hanson (2.48 ERA)
Kawakami (4.25 ERA)

If they can get at least decent offense, they really have a chance to run away with it.
LMAO, RUN AWAY WITH IT!!! LOL!!!!

The pitching is great no doubt about and you guys are still in it right now. But its like a broken record. But Kelly Johnson and Casey Kotchman arent going to cut it. Garret is over the hill as well. Your still 1 bat short in my opinion, but with that staff anything is possible.

But look at us we are getting pretty good pitching but the lineup is killing us and its soooooo debilitating when you cant score runs.

Phillies and Mets have been very mediocre this 1st half, but 1 of them will turn it on. And both will make moves to make their ballclubs better as well.

Jays face the Yankees tomorrow, time to shut VC up, hopefully. We are very inconsistent, after we win 1, we go on a winning streak, after we lose one, we lose more. We just beat the Rays last game so hopefully we carry that to the Yankees.

What is the Blue Jays record vs. the Yankees, Red Sox, and Rays?

1-2 vs Yankees. 1-2 vs Rays. 2-4 vs Red Sox.(They swept us in Boston, we beat them 2-1 in Toronto).

No doubt. I'm not debating that, I'm just saying if Hudson comes back healthy we could trade Vazquez for the big bat we need. We obviously need offensive help, I mean just look at our starters W-L records, all because we can't score.

Rios, well theres your answer for making the playoffs..... they just HAVE to have winning records against 2 of those 3 to make it. Nothing less will suffice. Its pretty basic if you think about it, lol.

As for the Braves, who would want to trade for Vasquez? And why sign him in the 1st place then? And who would they get for him?

Anyone who needs pitching would trade for him, which is about 50% of MLB. We traded for Javy we didn't sign him, and we traded for him because we lacked pitching depth which we have plenty of now. If you haven't realized Javy has been one of the best pitchers in the bigs this year minus his W-L record. I sure we could get a power hitting OF for him.

Oh yea nvm, Idk wat I was thinking. Javy was traded for that SS prospect Brent Lillibridge. So it makes it a whole different story. Lets see what Javy does trying to sweep the Phils tonight. Gawd I hate the Phillies I would rather see another other team in our division win it besides the Phillies.

I think if I was the gm, lol. I would keep Javy and just see what happens, cant have enough good starting pitching. And Ive always noticed that when teams get on really good hot streaks its because the SP'ing is really good. Idk, I think I would keep Javy and just send Kawakami down to AAA.

CC has the bases loaded with two outs and down 6-4, lets see how he handles this.

Wow. I just looked at the Box Score for the D-Backs/Reds game. The Reds outhit the D-Backs 14-4, and only won 3-2, in the 10th.

Get some freaking strikeouts Buehrle! The 0 ER`s is nice and all, but your not helping my team in the SO`s category as much as you need to be.

Matsui gets a lead-off double in the bottom of the 7th, let's keep this rally going.

I know there is all this talk about Pujols of how great he has been doing, seemingly getting at least 2 homers in a game every other game. He has 30 homers and is on pace for 60+, but as for RBI`s, he has 77, and Fielder has 75. I like both of these guys, they can hit like no other, but they should recognize Fielder more on his RBI`s along with Pujols because they are only 2 apart.

Hey look at that Buehrle finally got a strikeout! Now, we shall see if he will come back in the 9th or if they keep him out. I think they will probably let him keep going. Only 89 pitches after 8.

It's about that time for the Yankees to start doing what they've been doing all season.
