The NL East is a smorgasbord of mediocrity. Braves have sucked all month, but are only 4 back.

Rolen's hit streak is still going, got 2 hits today, his and Adam Lind are on fire at the plate. I think Rolen's hit streak is at 18 or 19 games now.

Hmm..... where should I begin....

I feel that he gets more credit than he deserves of his FA acquisitions. With the type of payroll the Mets have, it is not coincidence that we are able to sign players like Beltran, Delgado, Santana, and K-rod. He has made some nice moves like trading for Maine and getting nice resurrection projects like Tatis last year or Valentin 2 years ago. But he has also made some horrendous moves as well. Such as signing Castillo for 4 years and the signing of Perez I hated as well. I think the way he molded the team this year was completely incorrect considering that it is such a pitches ballpark. I also feel we shouldve signed Lowe even though he was expensive it wouldve been well worth it. And for the Dodgers to get Orlando Hudson for 4 million is a huge bargain considering he is an all-star 2B. Our minor league system hasnt had the same type of impact that one would hope as evidenced by this year starting Ramon Martinez at SS, a position which is so crucial defensively to a player who is way past his prime and was hitting like .230 in the majors.

I also feel that Omar is a racist. Just look at all the hispanic players on the Mets. And this coming from a hispanic person! Overall I would give Omar a C+.

Mets win 1-0. Oh yea and I wouldve traded Delgado to an AL team this past offseason but Omar decided to keep him and we have seen how that turned out......

Freaking Tigers. Good thing we have a day off, because we definately need it. Not only did we lose the series to a horrible A`s team, but we are going into a series against Minnesota being 3 games up on them. We need to win at least 1 game to keep the AL Central lead, which is do-able. I just didn`t want it to come to this.

Damn it already.... felt like just yesterday..... lol. Mets face Dodgers soon at Citifield.

For some reason I see the Giants making a move for offense. Theyre only 6 GB or so of the Dodgers and I think they are a bat away from trully contending for the Wild Card.
