Crazy, crazy contract. I expect him to opt out if he had another solid season and run away with this close to 30 million dollar year pay for the upcoming season. I am sad the Nationals didn't get him, because I wanted to see what they would do next.

What can this man not do!? Kidding aside that was a pretty fun call in, and fun to see Trout talking weather with a weatherman.

Looks like Nationals want him, and bad. 5 years @ over 100 million in a deal like Scherzer's. Interesting, now let's see Werth + for Fielder happen.

Main thread for the biggest fish left on the market. Tons of rumors going on for him right now, a huge one being the Nationals are attempting to sign him.
How'd he fit?

Awful for the Mariners, pretty decent for the Cubs. We'll see what he brings, has the potential to get paid real nice though.

Cespedes doesn't get on base, decent average, has the power to be a solid 5 hitter...though it doesn't matter whichever team he is on, they win. Overall I'd give him a 5 year 120 million dollar deal.

Interesting deal. It is a one year $2 million dollar deal, but with very big incentives to reach $7 million. Could be a steal in that ball park, or could turn out to be a cheap pen option they later release.
K-Rod and Justin Wilson are very welcomed additions...I'm not sure what you're talking about. They have upgraded way more than last season.

Crazy deal, the Tigers always end up upgrading somehow. Zimmerann and Upton in one off-season. They want to win, and win now while their owner is still alive.
Thoughts?
Biggest contract in Baltimore Oriole history goes to a slugger...that's going to be real interesting. I'm not sure how I feel about this deal, but there wasn't another team on him so it works. Now for Cespedes to choose, and that seems down to if the Mets give him a contract.

The Royals have inked their newest starter in Ian Kennedy. The two have agreed upon a 5 year 70 million dollar deal.
Overall it's a solid deal for Ian, and we'll see how it plays out for the Royals in the end.

This could be very, very big. I could see the Mets turning focus on either Davis (move Duda to OF...yuck) or Upton if the O's make out with Cespedes. Cespedes i would hate to see in an Oriole uniform, but at this proposed price i think he should take it. 5 years @ 90 million with an option for a...
No way Rays would trade Ordorizzi for one of them at the deadline. He is controllable and cheap, they'll be expensive and aging. Whoever signs these guys will be stuck with them. I do however agree the Royals should trade for one of the Rays young arms instead of signing either of these two...
The Final Boss is now apart of the Cardinals organization. The fun part to him is this is only a one year deal with an option, so another team could get him rather soon instead of waiting around a few years for them to hit the market again.
Wow, after him waiting this long i am shocked they gave him this much money. Now i totally expect CarGo to be dealt, but with Cespedes and Upton still on the market this becomes rather interesting.
