Reffing is mostly fine. They just get into bad habits with certain players and teams--allowing certain guys to flop and draw charges, allowing some teams leniency with certain rules. It's wrong. If it's not a foul for LeBron, it's not a foul for anybody. They need to be treated the same way.
I truly believe that JB Bickerstaff will be a great head coach in this league, but no coach who gives minutes to guys like Brewer and Beasley over Terrence Jones is ready to be a head coach in this league.
Bring him back for the rebuild, Houston. There will be bumps and bruises but 2-3 years...
Houston can compete in these games if they just make some shots, and if the refs start calling Bogut for blatant moving screens. GSW had 3-4 open three pointers in the first half because Bogut moved with whoever he was screening. Why does he get to get away with this shit but nobody else? Golden...
Game 1 observations:
First half: Lowry and DeRozan made sure to contribute despite shooting troubles, and Toronto's superior role players and bench allowed them to control the game.
Second half: Lowry and DeRozan let the bad shooting night get in their heads, tried to play hero-ball. Pacers...
You can't decide one player out of however many has to be refereed in such a drastically different manner once the the playoffs hit. It's not right, and it's not justifiable. If they change the way they ref Harden, they should start calling moving screens on guys like Bogut, too.
I'm surprised Harden doesn't pressure the Player's Association to harp on the league about making sure he's officiated the same way in the playoffs as he is in the regular season. He has legitimate case because he can't buy a whistle in the playoffs.
By all means, give the Warriors the calls because they're going to win anyway, but you can't call Dwight for a borderline moving screen while Bogut gets to be a sliding door on the other end. Garnett and Duncan set the knee screens, Bogut blatantly moves with the guy he's screening every single...
